Description
The Fleet Maintenance Expansion Project will revitalize the existing facility to include an upgrade to its electrical system, new HVAC, vehicle lifts, flooring, windows, and doors. In addition, a new oil pump system and air lines are planned as well as painting the interior and exterior of the building.
October 2024: The installation of new hoses and reels is expected to be completed by mid-November.
September 2024: The installation of new hoses and reels is expected to begin on September 19, 2024.
August 2024: The contractor is awaiting equipment to arrive to begin installation of new hoses and reels.
July 2024: Cost proposals to replace the hoses and reels have been submitted to Central Services Meetings with vendors will follow.
June 2024: Hose reels for oil and air lines will be replaced. An air storage tank will be added to increase the volume of compressed air to the existing system.
May 2024: The interior and exterior painting is now finished, and the replacement of hoses and reels are scheduled for June.
April 2024: Painting of the first and second floors as well as replacement of the flooring is now finished. Crews are scheduled to beginning painting the building’s exterior in mid-April.
March 2024: Moisture tests are being conducted on the first floor and demolition of the upstairs flooring is planned for mid-March. Interior bay painting and exterior building painting is dependent on weather conditions but are on the schedule to begin.
February 2024: The interior painting of the first and second floors has been completed. Exterior painting will begin when outside temperatures increase. Plans to replace the flooring are moving forward
January 2024: Replacement of lighting throughout the building has been completed and interior painting is now in progress to include hallways, kitchen, conference room, restrooms, front office, and reception area. Plans to paint the building exterior are on hold until warmer weather arrives.
