Correctional Facilities Renovations

The Clayton County Prison, located in Lovejoy, has a current capacity of 242 inmates. The mainly medium to minimal risk inmates are housed in an open dormitory setting and can participate in work-detail and custodial positions with various Clayton County government agencies.

This project includes the construction of a new dormitory, visitation room, and medical services area. A new transitional area will provide twenty-five beds for work-release inmates. Improvements to the building's interior and exterior infrastructure are slated.
