The construction and maintenance of our transportation system are vital to our resident’s quality of life and our attractiveness to industry and commerce.
Our transportation projects create a comprehensive transportation system for Clayton County that includes smooth streets, enhanced lighting, safety improvements for cyclists, pedestrians, school routes, bridges, intersections, enhancements to sidewalks, walking trail connections, and streetscapes. The county uses SPLOST funds to leverage additional funding from the state and federal government, local governments, non-profit organizations, and community improvement districts. SPLOST Transportation projects support economic development in Clayton County and improve high-priority corridors.
